What is Hospice?

Hospice services are an alternative to curative measures for those with life-limiting illness. The patient receives "palliative care," which manages pain and controls symptoms while taking into account that emotional and spiritual stress are as significant as physical pain.

In addition, the family/loved ones receives emotional and spiritual support, with bereavement services that continue for up to one year after the loss of their loved one.

Voyager and its partners provide a complete range of services to patients and families, and the medically directed, team-oriented care that we provide to our patients is second to none.

Each team member closely consults with the other professionals on the team, maximizing their strengths as together they design a care plan for the individual patient and offer support and guidance for their loved ones.

This specialized concept of comfort caring is offered to patients in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals or their own residence.

The cost for hospice care is 100% covered by Medicare and most private insurance companies.
